A Whittier man found his pet Poodle shot to death early Friday morning, KTLA reported.
The man let the dog, dubbed "Shakira," out to do what dogs do around 1 a.m., sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Dusky said. About an hour later, he heard his other dogs barking and went out to find the 6-year-old dog lying motionless on the grass.
KTLA reported that the Maltese-Poodle mix was shot half a dozen times by a small-caliber handgun. The dog's owner said that he's never received any complaints about any of his dogs barking.
